vIRTUAL VISITS FOR 2021:
WRITING WORKSHOP - (Grades 3-5)
I talk to students about my journey as a struggling reader, and writer, discuss the power of revisions, and introduce my Four Step Sure-Fired Easy-to-Write Story Formula. We will work on: • Finding a good idea • Adding imagery • Using exciting words • Make our own Four Step Sure-Fired Easy-to-Write Story THE INSIDE SCOOP - This presentation is suitable for all ages. I'll talk about being both an author and an illustrator. We'll talk about the fact that my writing process is exactly what they are learning in school, and I'll share my steps for drawing characters. WRITING NONFICTION - (Grades 2 and up) This presentation covers everything from research to revisions. THE ILLUSTRATION PROCESS - (Grades 2 and up) Even illustrators need to revise their work. We'll cover sketches, storyboards, and lots of drawing.
